Sequorr LLC ("Sequorr", "we", "us", or "our") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the personal information you share with us. This Privacy Policy describes what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and your rights regarding your data when you use the Sequorr mobile application and related services (collectively, the "Service").
By creating an account or using the Service, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with our practices, please do not use the Service.
1.1 Account Information
When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, date of birth, and password. You may also choose to provide a profile photo, bio, height, weight, and fitness goals.
1.2 Health & Fitness Data
With your explicit permission, we access data from Apple HealthKit including: step count, heart rate, heart rate variability, resting heart rate, sleep analysis (duration and stages), workout sessions, active and basal energy burned, walking and running distance, and VO2 max estimates. We only access the specific data types you authorize.
1.3 Activity & Location Data
When you record an activity with GPS tracking enabled, we collect your location coordinates for the duration of that session to map your route. We do not track your location in the background or outside of active workout sessions.
1.4 Device & Usage Data
We collect device type, operating system version, app version, and general usage patterns (such as which features you use and how frequently). This data helps us improve the Service and diagnose technical issues.
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
- Provide core fitness tracking, activity recording, and training analytics (TSS, CTL, ATL, TSB calculations).
- Display your activity history, training load, and performance trends.
- Facilitate event discovery and registration through Sequorr Findrr.
- Send notifications related to your account, activities, and Service updates.
- Improve, maintain, and secure the Service.
- Respond to support requests and communicate with you about your account.
- Comply with legal obligations.
Health and fitness data accessed through Apple HealthKit is used exclusively to provide fitness tracking features within the Service. We never use HealthKit data for advertising, marketing, or data mining. We never sell HealthKit data to third parties. This is required by Apple's HealthKit guidelines and is a core commitment of Sequorr.
We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information in the following limited circumstances:
3.1 Service Providers
We use third-party services to operate the Service, including cloud hosting, database services, mapping services (Mapbox), and authentication providers. These providers access your data only to perform services on our behalf and are contractually obligated to protect your information.
3.2 Event Organizers (Findrr)
If you register for an event through Sequorr Findrr, the information necessary to complete your registration (such as name and email) may be shared with the event organizer. The event organizer's use of your data is governed by their own privacy policy.
3.3 Legal Requirements
We may disclose your information if required by law, in response to a valid legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Sequorr, our users, or the public.
3.4 External Sharing by You
If you choose to share your Sequorr data, screenshots, or activity information outside the Service through third-party platforms or other external channels, Sequorr is not responsible or liable for that content once it leaves the Service. Information shared externally is subject to the terms and privacy practices of the platforms through which it is shared.
4.1 Where We Store Data
Your data is stored on secure servers hosted by our infrastructure providers in the United States. Health data synced from Apple HealthKit is transmitted to our backend over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) and stored in an encrypted database.
4.2 Security Measures
We implement industry-standard security measures including encrypted data transmission, secure authentication with hashed passwords, access controls, and regular security reviews. While we take reasonable steps to protect your data, no system is completely secure. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential.
4.3 Data Retention
We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. When you delete your account, we permanently delete your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law or necessary to resolve disputes or enforce our Terms.
5.1 Access & Portability
You can access your personal information within the app through your profile and activity history. You may request a copy of your data by contacting us at support@sequorr.com.
5.2 Correction
You can update your account information at any time through the Edit Profile screen. For corrections to other data, contact us.
5.3 Deletion
You can delete your account at any time through Settings > Account Deletion in the app. This permanently removes your account and all associated personal data from our systems within 30 days.
5.4 Withdraw Consent
You can revoke Sequorr's access to HealthKit data, location data, notifications, and other permissions at any time through your device settings or through the Health Access settings within the app.
5.5 California Residents (CCPA)
If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect, request deletion of your personal information, and opt out of the sale of your personal information. Sequorr does not sell personal information. To exercise your rights, contact support@sequorr.com.
The Service is not directed to children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child under 13 without parental consent, we will take steps to delete that information promptly. Users between 13 and 16 may use the Service with parental consent.
The Service may contain links to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third parties. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party services you access through the Service.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you through the app or via email and update the "Effective" date at the top of this policy. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
